Raseel Gujral Ansal stands at the forefront of Indian luxury design, with nearly four
decades of multidisciplinary expertise spanning architecture, spatial design, bespoke
furniture, art, and lifestyle. Her work champions the philosophy that design transcends aesthetics, it crafts immersive, culturally resonant experiences.
Born into the illustrious Gujral family, Raseel is the daughter of the renowned
Padma Vibhushan recipient Satish Gujral and celebrated ceramist Kiran Gujral, and the niece of former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral. Surrounded by artistry since childhood, she developed a lifelong passion for craftsmanship, cultural narratives, and design's
transformative power. This foundation continues to define her unique creative philosophy a harmonious blend of global sophistication and Indian soul.
Multidisciplinary Practice
In the early 1990s, Raseel launched RGA Design LLP, the spatial design wing of the RGA group, crafting high-end residences, hospitality venues, corporate environments, and
experiential spaces each enriched with layered narratives, bold aesthetics, and meticulous detail.
In 1994, she co-founded Casa Paradox Luxe, one of India’s pioneering luxury lifestyle brands celebrated for bespoke furniture, art-inspired interiors, and couture-level
craftsmanship. In 2013, she introduced Casa Pop, a prêt-diffusion line offering vibrant,
design-forward lifestyle and fashion products expanding her reach to broader audiences. Both brands have represented India at distinguished international forums like Maison & Objet, Paris.
As custodian of her father’s legacy through Raseel Gujral Art Legacy (RGAL), she curates exhibitions and publications that actively bridge heritage and contemporary innovation, preserving the ethos of artistic excellence and cultural relevance.
Design Philosophy
Known for “original glamour,” Raseel’s design ethos merges maximalism with restraint melding bold palettes, luxurious textures, and diverse influences into thoughtfully composed expressions. She treats each project as a bespoke narrative, achieved through collaboration, artisanal craftsmanship, and storytelling.
Her work deeply honors Indian artisan traditions such as hand-carved wood, intricate inlay, and calligraphic motifs infused with modern sensibilities, positioning her as a pioneering voice in modern Indian luxury design.
